The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is CPM 2's factory drag icon — a car you build for one purpose: the five-race drag bracket.
The build
- Engine and forced induction: max the engine, and prefer a supercharger for short drag runs (turbos for longer pulls) — see engine swap if you want to go further.
- Gearbox + clutch: upgrade both, then set short 1st/2nd gears — drag races are won in the first two gears (gearbox guide).
- Tires: fit the grippiest rear rubber you can, and adjust wheel sizes.
- Fuel: E85.
- Dyno Run to confirm the gains.
Race-day routine
- Burnout — warm tires are mandatory on a high-torque RWD muscle car.
- Stage, wait for green (two false starts = automatic loss).
- Five consecutive wins for first place and the top coin payout.
The look
Finish it with Demon-style rims from the wheel shop and a livery from the design editor — drag cars get photographed.
Class note
Drag classes are performance-banded. A maxed Demon may be pushed into a higher band — check which class your finished build enters before an event.
FAQ
Is the Demon 170 good for drag racing in CPM 2?
Yes — the Challenger Demon platform is built for drag. Follow the muscle-car formula: big power, short 1st/2nd gears, warmed tires, and clean green-light launches.
