CPM 2 supports dynamic weather, and a recent PC update added rain with road reflections together with a stable night mode. Here is how to use it.
Enabling rain
- Open the environment/weather settings (the same menu that controls time of day).
- Set the weather to rain and adjust the time — night rain with reflections is the most dramatic look.
- Weather is client-side atmosphere: use it for cruising, screenshots, and cinematics.
Weather options arrived with the recent PC Early Access updates. If you don't see them, update your game to the latest version first.
Rain + photo mode tips
Rain shots benefit from the pro photo workflow — full details in the photo mode guide:
- Set time and weather before entering drone/photo mode.
- Use the slow drone movement toggle for smooth cinematic sweeps over wet roads.
- Zoom to around 8x for detailed distance shots; reflections pop on wet asphalt.
- Try panning mode (single-player only) with a slow shutter speed for motion-blurred rain shots.
